Introduction
The history of Darjeeling tea started in the early 19th century when the British developed Darjeeling into a health resort for British residents looking for a getaway from the scorching heat of the plains. Subsequently, this led to the extensive establishment of tea plantation on the slopes of the hills and tea growers developed hybrids of black tea and created new fermentation techniques. This resulted in the development of the most typical Darjeeling tea, internationally recognized and ranked among the most popular black teas in the world.

Today tea tourism in Darjeeling and the adjoining areas have acquired a global name and tourist from all over the world visit Darjeeling and the surrounding areas to witness the tea cultivation and manufacturing process. Tea tour in Darjeeling along with its’ pristine nature, lush green surrounding , rolling hills with the snow capped peaks of Kanchenjunga always at the background and the colorful people make it truly a lifetime experience and above all one can experience the tea manufacturing process from plucking the leaves at the tea garden till the packaging of the final product.

Chamong Chiabari Tea Retreat.
Day 1. Arrival in Bagdogra-Chamong Tea Retreat.
Upon arrival meet our driver/representative and drive to Chamong Chiabari Tea Retreat via Ghoom along thick forests of pine and Oak.Evening free to relax and enjoy the surrounding. Overnight in Chamong Chiabari Tea Retreat.

Day 2. Factory and Tea Garden visit.
After an early breakfast you will be taken to the factory to show how some of the finest tea in the world is made followed by a tea tasting session of varieties of teas grown in various Tea Estates of Chiabari group. After lunch visit the tea Garden, walk through the tea bushes and interact with the tea workers. Evening free to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding.
Overnight in Chamong Chiabari Tea Retreat.

Day 3. Excursion to Darjeeling.
After breakfast depart for a day’s trip to Darjeeling, in Darjeeling visit HMI & Z00(closed Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Tenzing rock and Botanical garden. Afternoon visit the Japanese Temple and the Dali Gompa monastery. Return back to Chamong Tea Retreat in the evening.
Note: Option is also available for DHR(toy train) ride until Ghoom(extra cost).

Day 4. Departure.
Transfer to the airport via Mirik after a most memorable experience.

Tumsong Tea Retreat.
Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra-Tumsong.
Upon arrival meet our representative/driver and drive to Tumsong Tea Retreat via Ghoom. After a traditional welcome on arrival followed by high tea. Settle down and relax at Royal Heritage Tumsong Bungalow.
Overnight in Tumsong Tea Retreat.

Day 2. Factory and Tea Garden visit.
After breakfast with the views of the beautiful valley and magnificent Kanchenjunga range drive to the Organic Tea Factory to witness how some of the finest tea in the world is made followed by a tea tasting session of varieties of teas grown in various Tea Estates of Chiabari group. After lunch either relax at the retreat or take a moderate hike through the walking trails that opens through the vast Tumsong Tea Garden. Overnight in Tumsong Tea Retreat.

Day 3:Excursion to Rong Bong riverside.
After breakfast will take you to beautiful Rong Bong riverside flowing through our garden for a very exclusive private picnic. Evening is to relax after a day’s long activities. Overnight in Tumsong Tea Retreat.
Optional : If you skip the riverside picnic, excursion to Darjeeling can be arranged.

Day 4:Departure.
Transfer to the airport after a most memorable experience at Tumsong Tea Retreat.

Glennburn Tea Estate & Retreat
Day 1. Arrival at Bagdogra-Glenburn.
Upon arrival meet our vehicle and transfer to Glennburn Tea Estate. Glenburn situated an altitude of 1127m is one of the oldest tea gardens in Darjeeling. It covers an area of 1600 acres of land and offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Overnight in Glennburn Tea Retreat.

Day 2. Factory and Tea Garden visit.
Today we will visit the factory to have an idea of how tea is produced, we shall visit the four main section of production unit, withering, fermenting, drying and sorting, if the tea tasting is on process we can even participate in the tea tasting session. After lunch visit the tea plantation and the evening is free to stroll along the tea buses. Overnight in Glennburn Tea Retreat.
Note : Tea tasting session is optional and if during the visit tea tasting is done guests can participate in it.

Day 3. In Glenburn(Activities can be planned as per your interest)
Excrusion to Glenburn campsite-hike along the river Rungeet to Manhjitar village in Sikkim with a picnic lunch with barbeque by the river side along with river rafting(if operational with extra cost).
Optional : Excursion to Darjeeling.

Day 4. Departure.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Sourenee Tea Estate & Boutique Resort
Day 1. Arrival at Bagdogra-Sourenee Tea Estate.
Upon arrival at the Bagdogra airport meet our representative/driver and transfer to Sourenee Tea Estate. The road climbs up through winding mountain road across Gyabaree and Phuguri Tea Estate to Sourenee. Upon arrival check in to the Tea Resort and evening is free to take a leisurely stroll through the tea gardens. Overnight in Sourenee Tea Resort.

Day 2. Factory and Tea Garden visit.
After an early breakfast we will for the process of tea manufacture accompanied by the factory representative or the the Estate Manager. We will observe the whole of the tea processing from the tea being plucked from the bushes to the cups. After the visit to the factory we have the option hike through the tea bushes and forests down to the stream for a picnic lunch amidst chirping bird and the sound of the gurgling stream.
After lunch option is also available for an excursion to Mirik or you can simply relax and enjoy the surroundings of the tea Estate. Overnight in Sourenee Tea Resort.

Day 3. Excursion to Darjeeling.
After breakfast depart for a day’s trip to Darjeeling, in Darjeeling you have the option to enjoy the World Heritage Toy Train ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom(extra cost), through the picturesque Batasia Loop and back to Darjeeling. Packed lunch will be provided at a convenient location, after lunch half day Darjeeling sightseeing that includes Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Museum, Zoological Park(closed Thursday), take a stroll through the Chourastha Mall road and shop for local crafts and antiques along the way. Evening return to Sourenee for overnight. Overnight in Sourenee Tea Resort.
Note : Toy train joy ride ticket has to be booked in advance and depends on availability.

Day 4. Departure.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Kanchenjunga base camp trek-Sikkim

Introduction
For any trekkers, mountains are their refuge – a home, enticing them with its irresistible mystical allure. The Himalayas catches this spotlight invariably, and Kanchenjunga – the 3rd highest mountain in the world, takes the whole idea of mystical elements and curiosity to next level. This itinerary brings you to the Sikkim side of Mt Kanchenjunga, up the forested hills and through alpine meadows, to the weather beaten trail, with beautiful lakes, glaciers in the changing clouds at mountain pinnacles. Spring bring forth rhododendron, orchids and magnolia in technicolor bloom – a running riot of colors. The climax is uninterrupted and surreal views of Mt Kanchenjunga at its glorious best and other peaks. Prelude to this is cultural visit with short walk in Gangtok, Yuksom for insights into living culture as well as acclimatization.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Bagdogra-Gangtok
Upon arrival at Bagdogra/NJP transfer to Gangtok – capital of Sikkim. In the evening you can take a stroll at MG Marg – a pedestrian boulevard and also visit the Lal Bazaar (now Kanchendzonga market). (Altitude 1700m/ Distance 135 kms/ 4-6 hrs drive). Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 2: In Gangtok
Full day tour of Gangtok starting with a visit to Enchey monastery from where you can have an excellent view of the mountains. Further visit Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom(closed Sunday), Do-Drul Chorten and the Institute of Tibetology(closed Sunday) which has an impressive collection of Tibetan artifacts and ancient manuscripts. After lunch drive to the opposite ridge to visit Rumtek Monastery. After the visit return back to Gangtok for overnight.

Day : 3 Gangtok – Yuksom
After breakfast, drive to Yuksam in West Sikkim – a trekker’s hub. It is also of historical importance as the place where the first Chogyal (King) of Sikkim was crowned in 1642. En-route visit tallest Buddha statue in Ravangla. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Evening we’ll rendezvous with our trekking staff, including the Sherpas, porters, and the cook. Overnight in Yuksom. (Alt. 1780m/134 kms/5-7 hrs).
Note: there are frequently some on going road work, so driving time may change for more than anticipated.

Day 4: Yuksom – Bakhim
After breakfast we start our trek in Sikkim’s pristine wilderness. We begin gently uphill following the Rathang river gorge, through dense forest and different varieties of orchids. After crossing the Paha Khola suspension bridge and the Prek Chu River we ascend steeply until we reach Bakhim. Overnight in Bakhim meadow. (6+ hrs trek 12km/2750m)

Day 5: Bakhim – Dzongri
After breakfast, we trek to Tsokha, a resettlement camp for Tibetan refugees and the last village encountered on the trek. This is where we get our first close up view of Mount Pandim. A steep climb above rhododendron forests will take us to Phedang. Continue uphill through mixed temperate forest to Dzongri. A brief climb beyond brings you to the camping site with views of Koktang(6,147m), Ratong, Kabru(7,338m), Kangchenjunga(8,586m), Simvo(6,815m) and Pandim(6,691m). Overnight in Dzongri. (10km – 5-6hrs trek/4030m)

Day 6: Dzongri – Laxmi Pokhari
Set off early enjoying the breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Kabru(7,000 m), Pandim(6,691 m) and the Rathong glacier along the way. The trial goes through rhododendron forest and pasture lands until Chamaray, from Chamaray a steep climb will land us to Laxmi Pokhari, a big lake in a deep crater. If you feel fit continue up to Kabur rock. Back to Dzogri for overnight. Overnight camping.

Day 7: Dzongri – Bikhbari
The trail from Dzongri to Bikhbar ascends and gradually descends till Bikhbari. (About12km/4-5hrs). Overnight camping.

Day 8: Excursion to Kanchanjunga base camp.(Chaurikhang and Rathong Glacier).
The trek to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp is a gradual ascent all the way. The Khanchenjunga base Camp is where the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute of Darjeeling conducts its Advanced Mountaineering Courses. From here, we get close-up views of Frey’s peak(5830 meters), Koktang (6,148 meters), Kabur and Rathong glacier. Explore and enjoy the splendid view and descend back to Bikhbari for overnight. Overnight camping.

Day 9: Bikhbari – Bakhim
Early morning after breakfast we retrace our step and trek back to Bakhim for overnight stay.
Overnight camping.

Day 10: Bakhim – Yuksom-Pelling
After breakfast trek downhill to Yuksom. Visit Dubdi monastery which is situated on the top of a lofty hill one thousand feet above Yuksam. After the visit descend down to Yuksom hop into the waiting vehicle and drive to Pelling for overnight stay. Overnight in a Pelling.

Day 11: Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport/railway station for your journey homewards or to your next destination.

After breakfast full day sightseeing in Darjeeling, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute/Zoo & Museum(closed Thursday), Tibetan Self Help Centre(Closed Sunday) and on the way back visit the Botanical garden and a Tea Estate. In the afternoon visit to the Japanese peace Pagoda, Dali monastery and the Batasia loop.
Overnight in Darjeeling.
Optional: DHR(toy train) ride to Ghoom and visit the railway museum(extra charge).

Day 3. Darjeeling– Kalimpong.
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Kalimpong(2.5hrs) via Takdah forest and Peshok tea Garden, enjoy the scenic ride through the winding roads through tea gardens. Kalimpong is another hill station with lovely orchids, Gladiolus, rarest cacti and nurseries with spectacular views of the Mount Kanchendzonga and its range. After lunch half day sightseeing tour through scenic road to Delo hill, the highest point in Kalimpong, Hanuman Mandir, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Mangaldham, Pine View Nursery etc as per your interest. Day 4. Kalimpong-Gangtok(75kms/3hrs)
Drive down the hill and cross over to Sikkim at Rangpo and climb uphill to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Sikkim the land of monasteries, rituals and festivals. On arrival check into your hotel and rest of the afternoon relax and rest in your hotel. Evening is free to stroll around the MG road and explore the market area. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 5. Excursion to Tsomgo Lake/New Baba Mandir.
Drive across the Kyognosla Alpine Sanctuay to Tsomgo lake(3753m). This lake is generally covered in snow for most of the year and is a habitat for the red pandas and numerous rare species of migratory birds. Walk around the lake, take a yak ride, enjoy the surrounding and the snowy peaks and visit the nearby Baba Mandir. After the visit return back to Gangtok for overnight. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 3. Gangtok-Pelling.
Drive to Pelling, enroute stop at Ravangla and visit the Buddha Park. Rest of the evening is free. Overnight in Pelling.

Day 4. Pelling-Darjeeling.
Early morning, treat yourself to the beautiful view of mountains. In the first half of the day, you will be visiting Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Post lunch drive to Darjeeling, also known as the called ‘Queen of Hills’ . Perched on a ridge this beautiful town overlooks the magnificent Kanchenjunga range. Evening is free to stroll around the Chouratha Mall road. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 5. In Darjeeling.
Early morning(before dawn) drive through through forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit the old Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast full day sightseeing that includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), a Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed). Afternoon visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda, Dali monastery and the Batasia loop. Overnight in Darjeeling.

The drive goes through picturesque landscapes with views of snow peaked mountains across several waterfalls like the Seven sister waterfalls, Naga Waterfalls and the confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang. On reaching Lachung, spend your time exploring the beautiful village surrounded by the hills and mountains. Overnight in Lachung.

Day 4. Lachung-Yumthang-Gangtok
Proceed to Yumthang valley also known as “the valley of flowers”(25kms/2hrs). In spring the valley is carpeted with wild alpine flowers and multicolored rhododendrons and in winter the valley is covered with snow and the snow clad peaks add ethereal beauty. Yumthang is also known for its hot springs which has healing medicinal properties, on the way back enjoy a soothing bath at the hot springs and return back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch continue our journey back to Gangtok. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 5. Gangtok-Darjeeling(98kms/4hrs)
Early morning drive to visit the Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok for spectacular mountain view, on the way back visit the Enchey monastery. After breakfast visit the Handicraft centre(closed Sunday), Namgyal Institute of Tibetology(closed Sunday) and the Dodrodul chorten. Afternoon drive to Darjeeling. On arrival check into your hotel and later take a stroll around the Chourastha mall road and visit the local market. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 6. In Darjeeling.
Early morning before dawn drive to Tiger hill to view the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range(weather permitting), on the way back visit the old Ghoom monastery. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra-Drive to Darjeeling.(2042m/67kms/3-4hrs)
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport, meet our representative and drive to Darjeeling. The road climbs up the hill with various curves till Kurseong, from here its a gentle down hill drive till Darjeeling. In the evening we can take a walk through Chowrastha mall road. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 2: In Darjeeling
Today we have a full day in Darjeeling, take a short walk to visit Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed Thursday), further visit Tibetan Refugee Center – a rehabilitation center for Tibetan refugees(closed Sunday), Tenzing rock, Llyod’s Botanical garden and the Happy valley tea estate. In the afternoon visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda and the Dali monastery. Option is also available to take a joy ride on the UNESCO World Heritage toy train which makes en-route stop at the Batasia Loop(with extra cost). Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 3: Drive to Dhotrey(2600m/43km/2-3hrs)-Trek to Tumling. (2926m/8kms/3-4hrs)
Early morning drive to Dhotrey passing through narrow road with thickets of conifer and pine vegetation and begin our trek from Dhotrey. The trail follows a gentle gradient through rhododendron forest till Tonglu (3088 m), which requires 6 km to cover. Followed by 2 km hike over mostly gradual and descending trail until Tumling, a small Sherpa village, on a clear day it provides a magnificent views of the Kanchenjunga range. Overnight in Trekkers lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Kalipokhari.(3169m/15kms/5 hrs)
After breakfast trek through the Singalila National Park to Kalipokhari through Gairibas. The trail goes through bamboo glades and farmlands. From Gairibas the ascent is gradual until Kalipokhari. Overnight in trekkers lodge.

Day 5: Trek to Sandakphu. (3,636m/7kms/3-4hrs)
After breakfast we hit the trail once again, the trail ascends gradually until Bikhey Bhanjyang, from here an steep ascent lands us to Sandakphu. Sandakphu, the highest point (3636m) in the Singalila range that provides uninterrupted 180o views of the entire Himalayan range including Mt Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Chomolhari, Pandim, Three Sisters, Kumbhakarna etc. Rest of the day is free to explore around. Overnight in trekkers lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Molley.(3150m/18kms/6-7hrs/Descent-800m)
Wake up early to experience the sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. Climb up to the viewpoint, a small hillock nearby and look at the entire Himalayan range open up before you. After breakfast we hit the trail once again towards Molley. Today the hike is the longest, with a few ascent and descent across meadows and rhododendron forest and stunning mountain views all along the way. Overnight in trekkers lodge.

Day 7: Trek to Rammam. (2453m/15kms/6hrs/ Descent-320m approx.)
After breakfast we continue our journey towards Rammam our next destination. The trek is a gradual descent through the Singalila National Park with dense pine, rhododendron forests and thick bamboo bushes where you have the chances of sighting the rare Red Panda among the bamboo groves. Overnight in trekkers lodge

Day 8: Trek to Sirikhola (12 km/2 hours)-Drive to Siliguri (126 km/ 4 hours)
Today the trek portion is relatively easy, the first part of the trek is almost level and then descend to the bridge at Sirikhola. At Sirikhola, board on to the waiting vehicle and drive to Siliguri via Mirik. Overnight in Siliguri.

Day 9. Departure.
After breakfast drive to the airport for your departure flight homewards.

This journey starts from the capital city of Sikkim, the land of monasteries, and colourful festivals and stops into the queen of hills, Darjeeling. Darjeeling is noted for its’ tea plantations and its distinctive black tea all over the world, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway a UNESCO world heritage site along with the remnants of the British Era.

Day 2. Excursion to Tsomgo lake/Baba Mandir(40kms/2hrs)
Drive across the Kyognosla Alpine Sanctuay to Tsomgo lake(3753m). This lake is generally covered in snow for most of the year and is a habitat for the red pandas and numerous rare species of migratory birds. Walk around the lake, take a yak ride, enjoy the surrounding and the view of the snowy peaks and visit the nearby Baba Mandir. After the visit return back to Gangtok or there is also the option to visit the Nathula Pass(Indo-China border) with an additional cost(for Indian nationals only).

Day 3. Gangtok-Darjeeling(98kms/4hrs)
Early morning drive to Tashi view point for spectacular mountain view, on the way back visit Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok and the Enchey monastery. After breakfast visit the Handicraft centre(closed Sunday), Namgyal Institute of Tibetology(closed Sunday) and the Dodrodul chorten. After lunch drive to Darjeeling. Day 4. In Darjeeling.
Early morning before dawn drive to Tiger hill to view the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range, on the way back visit the oldest monastery in Ghoom. After breakfast full day sightseeing, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & the Zoological Park(closed Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre(closed Sunday), Tenzing rock, Botanical garden and a Tea estate. Afternoon visit the Japanese Temple and the Dali Gompa monastery.

Overnight in Darjeeling.

Introduction
During the British period, Darjeeling and Kalimpong enjoyed special privilege as an ideal getaway from the scorching heat of the plains in summer. Till date it still has the remnants of those Raj Era in the form of churches, colonial buildings, tea gardens, toy train etc
The journey starts with the transfer from Bagdogra to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, filled with religious institutions, monasteries, picturesque landscape and many more. After visiting the important sights and places in Gangtok our next destination is Darjeeling, once a popular summer retreat for the British and now has turned into one of the most popular tourist destination in North India. After visiting important landmarks in Darjeeling our final destination is Kalimpong also known as the garden of flower, with several nurseries, schools, and spectacular vista from the hill top of Delo.

After the visit retrace our drive back and continue to Darjeeling. Check in to your hotel and rest of the evening is free to stroll around the Chourastha mall road.

Day 4. In Darjeeling.
Early morning before dawn drive to Tiger hill to view the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range, on the way back visit the Ghoom monastery. After breakfast full day sightseeing, HMI & Z00(closed Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre, Tenzing rock, Botanical garden and a Tea estate. Drive to the opposite ridge of Gangtok to Rumtek. Rumtek houses the Rumtek Monastery (Dharma Charkra Centre), the seat of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Following the visit proceed towards Martam, a small village. After lunch take a hike to the next village. It takes around 2 hours one way and the hike is a mixture of forest and terraced rice field trail walk. On the way back, we’ll take different route that ends near the school. Overnight in Martam Village.

Day 5. Martam – Pelling (2150m/ 70 km/3-4hrs)
After breakfast drive to Pelling, en-route stop at Temi Tea Garden, the only tea garden in the state of Sikkim producing world class organic tea, visit the tea garden and the tea factory depending upon the season and continue to Pelling. On the way take a brief stop at Ravangla and visit the Buddha Park. Upon arrival check into the hotel, take a short break and later hike to the famous Pemayangtse Monastery, followed by a visit to the ruins of Rabdentse, the second capital of the erstwhile Kingdom of Sikkim. Overnight in Pelling.

Day 6. Pelling-Darjeeling.
Early morning, treat yourself to the beautiful view of mountains. In the first half of the day, you will be visiting Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Afternoon drive to Darjeeling,  also known as the called ‘Queen of Hills’ . Perched on a ridge this beautiful town overlooks the magnificent Kanchenjunga range. Evening is free to stroll around the Chouratha Mall road.

Day 7. In Darjeeling
Early morning depending on the weather there is the option to visit tiger hill for sunrise view. On the return jouney pay a visit to the old Ghoom monastery. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed Thursday) and the Tibetan Self-help centre(closed Sunday), and a tea estate on the way back. In the afternoon visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda and the beautiful Dali monastery. After the visit we will still have free time to explore around. Option is also available to take a joy ride on a toy train . Overnight in Darjeeling.

Walk around the lake, take a yak ride, enjoy the surrounding and the snowy peaks and also visit the nearby Baba Mandir. After the visit return back to Gangtok.

Day 3. Gangtok-Lachen(121kms/6-7hrs)
After a leisurely breakfast proceed towards our next destination Lachen, another of the hidden paradise in the lap of Himalayas. The road passes through several view points and waterfalls, like the Singhik view point, seven sister waterfalls, Mangan, Bhim Nala waterfalls and Chungthang. On reaching Lachen, spend your time exploring the beautiful village surrounded by the hills and mountains.

Day 4. Excursion to Gurudongmar-Lachung
Drive to Thangu valley and visit Thangu village(4100m), a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads. Explore around the village and enjoy breathtaking view of the alpine valley, in summer the valley blooms with multi hued colors of wild flowers. After spending some time proceed further towards Gurudongmar Lake, situated at an altitude of 5425m is considered to be one of the holiest lake both by the Hindus as well as the Buddhist, surrounded by snow clad mountains makes it a stunningly picturesque site. Enjoy the beauty of nature and return back to Lachen for Lunch. After lunch continue our drive to Lachung. Overnight in Lachung.

Day 5. Lachung-Yumthang-Gangtok
Drive towards Yumthang valley also popularly known as “The valley of flowers”. In spring the valley is covered with various species of Rhododendrons, orchids and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom. Depending upon weather conditions we spend time walking and enjoying the landscape and return back to Lachung for lunch. On the way back we can visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases. After lunch continue our drive back to Gangtok.

Day 6. Gangtok-Pelling(117kms/4-5hrs)
Half day Gangtok tour, visit the Enchey monastery, flower show, Institute of Tibetology and the Do Drodul chorten. After the visit proceed on a ride to Pelling, a tiny hamlet located in the West Sikkim. During the journey from Gangtok to Pelling, we will stop at Ravangla and visit the Buddha Park, after the visit continue to Pelling.

Day 7. In Pelling.
Full day sightseeing, visit Rimbi waterfalls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake, it is one of the holy Buddhist lake and it is believed that any wish made in front of the lake comes true – Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves. Visit  Kecheopalri Monastery and Kanchenjunga water falls and retrace back to Pelling. Later in the evening we can take a hike to Pemayantse monastery and also visit the Rabdentse ruins.

Day 8. Pelling-Darjeeling(74kms/4hrs)
After breakfast drive to Darjeeling, the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Kanchenjung also known as “the Queen of the hills”. Rest of the afternoon is free to rest and relax or go for shopping.
Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 9. In Darjeeling.
Early morning(before dawn) drive through forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, War Memorial and the Batasia Loop . After breakfast full day sightseeing that includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (closed on Sunday), a Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (closed Sunday).
Option is also available for toy train ride until Ghoom.(with extra cost).

Day 10. Darjeeling– Kalimpong.
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Kalimpong(2.5hrs). Kalimpong is another hill station buzzing with colorful people with lovely orchids, Gladiolus, rarest cacti and nurseries and offers spectacular views of the Mount Kanchendzonga and its range. After lunch half day sightseeing tour through scenic road to Delo hill, the highest point in Kalimpong, Hanuman Mandir,  Durbin Monastery, Mangaldham, Pine View Nursery etc as per your interest.
Overnight in Kalimpong.

Day 2. In Gangtok.

Visit the flower show and walk along the promenade to view the palace temple used by the Chogyals(outside view). Visit Handicraft Centre(closed on Sunday) for art and crafts of Sikkim produced by the local artisans. Day 3. Gangtok-Lachen(125kms/5-7hrs)
After breakfast we proceed towards Lachen. Along the way pass through Kabi Lungtsok, Mangan, Bhim Nala waterfalls and seven seven sisters saterfall. Take a short break at Singhik view point, Singhik view point offers a splendid view of the lush green hills and the Teesta river flowing below. After the break continue our drive to Chungthang. From here the road bifurcates, one goes to Lachung and the other to Lachen. Lunch can be planned at a wayside restaurant in Chungthang, after lunch continue to Lachen and reach Lachen in the evening or in the late afternoon. Overnight in Lachen.

Day 1: Arrival – Gangtok
On arrival at Bagdogra airport meet our representative and drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim (4+hrs drive). In the evening, take a short walking tour through its MG Marg Avenue and browse the colorful Lal Bazaar food/vegetable market. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 2: Gangtok Tour – Darjeeling.
Visit Enchey monastery, flower exhibition near the Whitehall, take a walk along the promenade to view the temples used by the Chogyals of Sikkim and also visit the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom
(closed Sunday) where you can see traditional handicrafts in the making.
Afternoon drive down the hill to the Teesta valley, cross over and climb up the hill across Tukdah forest block and Peshok Tea Garden to until Kurseon, from here it is a gradual downhill drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and the evening is free to stroll around Chowrastha Mall. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 3: Darjeeling Sightseeing.
After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed Thursday), Tibetan Self-help center(closed Sunday), visit a tea estate, and take a joy-ride on a toy train till Ghoom which makes en-route stop at Batasia loop. 
Optional(based on interest)
Before dawn drive to Tiger Hill to see the splendid view of sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga and other peaks of eastern Himalayas. On our way backvisit Yiga cheoling monastery at Ghoom and the beautiful Dali monastery. Overnight in Darjeeling.

4: Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport/railway station for onward destination.
